Offline-first
Built for patchy site conditions. The workflow keeps moving where cloud-first tools stall.
Field inspection workflow
Search the plan, mark findings, capture evidence, and ship a signed PDF report from site. One app, on a single tablet, fully offline.
The problem
Printed drawings, scribbled notes, a camera roll full of photos, and a report rebuilt back at the desk. Behind it all, decades of poorly labelled box files, and site knowledge that leaves with the person who held it. Findings get lost, photos detach from their location, and reports take days. InspectDraw Pro replaces the whole pile with one direct workflow.
Compliance requires information that is current, accurate and relevant. When inspections are signed off without the location, the evidence or the task itself, that isn't compliance.
Are you just ticking the box?
Take the Tick-Box Test PDF, 10 questionsThe solution
InspectDraw Pro turns any technical PDF into a live inspection canvas. Search the plan, drop labelled markers, attach status, notes and photos, and export a signed report.
And when your drawings are wrong, it is how you fix them: survey the site, pin what is actually there, and bring your base plans back up to date.
Why it fits

Designed around large technical drawings and touch, on a single rugged tablet.
Every finding stays pinned to the exact location it came from on the plan.
Closes the gap between finding an issue and issuing a usable record.

The origin
Gary Brett
Concept Originator
Site Maintenance · 20+ years in the field
It was designed by someone who spent two decades doing exactly the job it now supports, building the tool he wished he'd had on every site walk.
Twenty years maintaining school buildings: PFI handovers, snagging and compliance, often run from afar with missing documentation and critical knowledge lost at every handover. Gary lived the pain of paper drawings, outdated floor plans and a phone full of photos, then the hours spent rebuilding reports back at the desk.
After retirement, he conceived InspectDraw Pro. His sons, who had been working in industrial XR solutions for five years at Beyond XR, built it.

InspectDraw Pro is a field inspection app for Android tablets and Windows PCs. It turns your existing technical drawings into a searchable inspection canvas: find any labelled item on the plan, drop a marker, record its condition with notes and photos, and export a signed PDF report before you leave site.
Yes, fully. It was built for basements, plant rooms and older buildings with no signal. Everything is stored locally in a portable save file, so the workflow never stalls waiting for a connection.
Anything that lives on a drawing: emergency lighting, exits and signage, fire alarm call points, fire doors and dampers, electrical distribution boards and isolation points, intruder alarms, ventilation, gas services, lightning protection, asbestos, fire containment walls, and water outlets and deadlegs for legionella monitoring. There are 43 premade marker types, plus custom markers for anything else.
Yes, and it will help you fix them. Your site team can walk the building in survey mode, pin what is actually there, photograph it and produce a report that brings your base drawings up to date. If your plans are paper-only or unreadable, our drawing and digitisation service redraws them into clean, searchable PDFs.
When the fire or intruder panel reports a device number at 2am, type that number into the search and jump straight to its location on the drawing. No guesswork, no walking the building, and no calling out a contractor to find a spider on a PIR.
Yes. Arrive with the drawings already loaded and find every relevant location without hand-drawn maps or verbal directions. Run a full duration emergency light test with every circuit switch and device identified on your tablet, sign it all off in the app, and hand over a complete report at the end.
Android tablets and Windows PCs. The same save file opens and edits identically on both, so findings recorded on site transfer straight to the desk.
Compliance requires information that is current, accurate and relevant. Every inspection record is date-stamped, pinned to its exact location on the drawing and backed by photographs, so your records show the task was actually done rather than a ticked box.
Yes. Each fire door carries a checklist covering the communal-door checks, from certification and the gaps at frame and floor, to intumescent seals, hinges and ironmongery, the self-closing device, signage and any damage. You complete it on site and it exports into the signed PDF report, with every check date and time stamped, so the record the regulations expect over each 12-month period is built in. Give each door a text asset tag and it becomes searchable across every loaded plan, so anyone working from a door list can type the tag and the app zooms straight to that door and shows its location on the minimap. QR tags read by the in-app camera are also possible.
Yes. The app already supports two form types, a whole-site form and a survey checklist mode with sign-off, and forms can be designed to your specification. For a Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessment or a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan, a marker placed on a specific flat can open that form, hold the record against the flat for future reference, and colour-code to flag vulnerable residents at a glance. Filter mode can then show just that resident's items, such as visual beacons, evacuation equipment and an assigned buddy.
The Enterprise / Estate licence is £25,000 one-off (ex VAT) and covers unlimited named users on one estate, deployment, a day of on-site training, and a 2-year warranty covering updates, support and fixes. Tailored services such as drawing digitisation, on-site survey and custom integrations are scoped and priced per engagement.
Yes. We built InspectDraw Pro ourselves, so we can adapt it: custom marker libraries, branded reports, bespoke survey checklists and integrations with the systems you already run. If you have an idea that would make it better, we will listen and build it.
Send us one of your floor plans and we'll show you the workflow on it before you buy.
